This is a fantastic list of beautiful and affordable themes. Thank you!

  2. I really enjoy your articles and I find them extremely helpful.
I am looking for a theme for my upcoming food blog. I am a beginner and have no knowledge on all the tech things. I really like the Rosemary theme and after looking through the SOLO PINE website I came across the Sprout & Spoon theme. I must say that once I saw it I just loved its simplicity and functionality. I would really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and opinion on this theme.
    Thank you!

    1. Eleni,

The best them is the one you like the most. Solo Pine themes are all about simplicity. They are one of the simplest themes out there which is great for most users. But that also means that there are no customization options and what you see on the demo is what you will get. Of course with your own content and media but the same layout, functions etc. For multipurpose themes like Gillion or others you can do a lot of tweaking but it also adds complexity.

  3. EasySkinz says:

How do you term these themes as mobile family? I mean is there any specific measure of unit or do you just randomly call them mobile friendly?

    1. Main criterias as how well they work on mobile devices. Meaning if they are responsive or better yet have a proper optimizations to load faster on mobile. Also, if they are compatible with AMP.

  4. They have great themes at SoloPine…however, I’m guessing you are not aware they closed their doors just a short while ago. Their message “After nearly 10 years of developing WordPress themes, we have officially closed our doors….”

    1. Hello Andre,

Thank you for pointing that out! We have since removed all their themes.
Sad to see them go because they made the best minimalistic blog themes with no bloat.
